Beverly A. Kitteridge, 71, of Lyman passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born on November 11, 1950, to Chet and Arelene (King) Gray in Farmington, NH where she grew up and attended local schools. When she was just five years old, her mother passed away and she and her little brother were taken to live with her grandparents Mildred and Samuel Gray and was raised with love and care. She went on to be educated as a paralegal, a medical assistant and a certified nurse’s aid. She also owned a pet shop for a time when she and her husband lived in Indiana. In her younger years, Beverly was employed at Union Mutual Insurance Company as a paralegal. When she had her children, she wanted to be home with them, so she had an in-home daycare. Beverly was able to be closely involved in her children's activities and schools. She was a cheerleading coach and substitute teacher for Massabesic Schools as well. Beverly lived in New Hampshire and Indiana for a time but was truly a Maine woman. She resided in Lyman for over 45 years and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to garden, growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed harvesting her crops, canning and camping and taking long road trips. She was a feisty and strong-willed woman, and when she loved, it was with her whole being. Her family knew this quite well, her grandchildren especially. She cared deeply for others and was an advocate for those who were underserved. She was a religious woman, and her faith was very important to her. She was also a thoughtful and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She is predeceased by her husband James G. Kittredge, her parents and grandparents, and her brother David Gray. Survivors include her four children Elizabeth Cyr and her husband Lenny of Sanford, Patricia Kittredge and her wife Anna of Gray, Kimberly Kittredge of PA, and James and his wife Elizabeth Kittredge of Acton, grandchildren Jacob and Tyler Cyr, Maximus and Ella Kittredge, Mckenna Brown and Austin and Logan Kittredge, nephews David and Allen Gray and sister-in-law Sherry Gray. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Homes, 580 Main St., Springvale, ME. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, 66 North Ave. Sanford with a burial immediately following at Goodwin's Mills Cemetery in Lyman.
