Bernard L. Colby

Bernard L. Colby, 61, of Lebanon, ME died late Saturday evening April 27, 2002 at the Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.Mr. Colby was born on November 12, 1940 in Waterboro, ME. He was the son of Louis and Edna Thompson Colby. He is a graduate of Sanford High School, and worked for the Maine Department of Transportation for 33 years.Hunting, fishing, and the outdoors were the things that Mr. Colby enjoyed most. He was a former member of the Lebanon fire Department, a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons and the Kora Temple Shriners.Predeceasing him is his father Louis, and two brothers, Parker and Robert Colby.Survivors include his mother Edna of Lebanon, ME, his wife Christine of Lebanon, ME, a son Aaron of Lebanon, ME, a daughter Michelle Bridges of Berwick, ME, and a grandson Mathew Bridges. Also surviving are six brothers, Edward of Lebanon, ME, Roger of Lebanon, ME, William of Springvale, ME, Richard of Alaska, Ronald of Springvale, ME, and Charlie of Lebanon, ME; three sisters, Marilyn Emmons of Lebanon, ME, April Hilton of Lebanon, ME, Kathy Ruel of N. Berwick, and several nieces and nephews.A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday April 30th, 2002 from 4 to 8 PM at the Heald Funeral Home, Springvale, ME; where an 11:00 AM funeral service will be held on Wednesday the 1st of May. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.
