Ben Waddington

Ben Waddington, 100, of Springvale, Me died Sunday November 10, 2002 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Mr. Waddington was born on April 26, 1902 in Halifax, U.K. He was the son of Willie and Sarah Priestley Waddington. He moved to the U.S. at a young age and was educated here. He worked for many years at the Sanford Goodall Mills and the Jagger Bros. Mill. Mr. Waddington enjoyed playing golf until the age of 92, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the cottage he built on Wells beach.Surviving is his wife of 72 years, Evelyn Burbank Waddington of Springvale, A brother Norman Waddington of Kittery point, a sister Doris Fields of Wells, and several nieces and nephews.At Mr. Waddington's request no services will be conducted at this time.
