Pendexter, 66, of Sanford, died Saturday February 16, 2002 at The Veterans Home in Augusta.He was born in Sanford on August 15, 1935, he was the son of Allen and Ruth Adjuntant Pendexter, and attended local schools.He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the United States Army.Mr. Pendexter worked as a foreman for Tilcon-Warren for over 30 years retiring in 1990.He was the current commander and past trustee of the AMVETS in Sanford. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and the Disabled American Veterans.Mr. Pendexter was a very good family man. He enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. He is survived by his wife of 11 years Geraldine Pendexter of Sanford; daughters Cindy Huston of Dover, NH., Donna Brunelle and her husband Brian of Sanford; six step children Brian Lasante of Sanford, James Lasante of Sanford, Lynn Wakefield of Sanford, Christine Blier of Sanford, Tricia Castaldo of Alfred and Theresa Lasante of Sanford; sisters Rosalie Roy of Sanford and Linda Reneaud of Sanford; 4 grandsons Gregory Winship of North Berwick, Jeffrey Brunelle of Sanford, Aaron Huston of Rochester, NH., and Timothy Brunelle of Sanford; 16 step grandchildren.Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Tuesday at Heald Funeral Home 580 Main St., Springvale, where services for The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and AMVETS will be held at 4:00 PM.
