Monticello, FloridaBarbara Donovan Leslie, 74, of Monticello Florida, died Wednesday July 3, 2002 in Monticello, Fl.A native of Alfred, Maine, and previous resident of Saco, she had lived in Monticello since 1977. She was a registered nurse at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville Georgia for 21 years. She trained at The Weber Hospital School of Nursing in Biddeford where she worked earlier in her career.She was a Past Matron of Eastern Star #139 in Alfred Maine, and served as a missionary to Haiti in 1979. She was a member of The First Baptist Church, Monticello, FL, where she was also a member of WMU Society and The Triple LLL Club. She was also a member of The Monticello Women's Club. She volunteered as a Red Cross Nurse for disaster relief throughout the United States. During all her years in Monticello, she owned and operated Les-Lee Handicrafts.She is survived by two sons David E. Leslie of North Berwick, Maine and Donald L. Leslie of Sanford, Maine; two daughters Frances Landry of Acton Maine and Beverly Aboodi of Orlando Florida; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 12, 2002 in Evergreen Cemetery, Alfred, Maine. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund P.O. Box 37243 Washington, DC. 20013. A gathering will be held following the Graveside services at The Hall Family Farm 786 Lebanon Rd., North Berwick, Maine.
