Barbara E. Larrabee

Barbara E. (Morris) Larrabee, 95, of Ossipee, NH, formerly of Sanford, ME, Shapleigh, ME, Danvers, MA, and Lynn, MA passed Saturday February 29 at Mountainview Community Nursing Home following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.She grew up in Lynn, MA the daughter of Thelma (Kent) Morris and Charles Morris. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She married Granville B. Larrabee in December of 1945 and was widowed in September 1987.Barbara was employed variously at GE in Lynn, Beaconway Fabrics in Danvers, as an antiques dealer with Granville in Maine, and then as a clerk at the courthouse in Alfred, ME.She enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting, sewing, needlework, cooking, traveling, and family.Barbara is survived by her daughter Susan (Larrabee) Auger and Susan's husband Alan; their sons Jesse, Richard, and Brian as well as Richard's son Levon.She is also survived by her son David Larrabee of East Wakefield, NH and David's wife Ruth; their children Michael and his wife Tanya and son Owen; Kenneth; Heather; and Kathryn Nguyen and her husband Loc.Special thanks to the staff of Mountainview Community Nursing Home for their excellent care since 2016.A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6th at 4PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.
