Barbara E. Hicken

Barbara E. Hicken, 83 years old, formerly of Everett, MA and most recently of Sanford, ME, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at St. Andre's Home in Biddeford.Barbara was born on March 26, 1922 in Everett, MA. She was the daughter of Ralph G. and Sarah L. (Russell) Hicken. She attended Everett schools, and graduated with the Everett High School class of 1941. For a brief period of time Barbara attended Gordon College. She worked as an accountant for over 20 years at Sears & Roebuck of Boston, MA, before moving to Maine. While living in Maine, Barbara worked for Wasco Products, before retiring in 1983.Barbara was a member of the Elm St. Baptist Church of Everett, MA, and the Cornerstone Baptist Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, and the company of friends.Barbara leaves no immediate family behind, however she will be dearly missed by her very special friends Carole and Henry Smith, and their children Jessica, Matthew, and Katelyn.A 1:30 PM graveside service for Barbara will be held on Monday, October 31, 2005 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Everett, MA.
