Arlene F. Winslow

Arlene F. "Mammie" Winslow, 91, of Sanford passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2006 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford. She was born in Sanford on October 15, 1914, a daughter of William and Florence (Bucklin) Fall.She attended and graduated from Sanford High School. For 25 years she worked in the family business at Falls Agway. She worked at H.D. Goodall Hospital as a cook, retiring in 1979 after 15 years of service.She was a member of the Mousam Lake Grange and the AARP. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, sewing and crocheting.She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Winslow who died in 1986. she is also predeceased by one brother, Earl Fall.She is survived by one son, Donald Winslow and his wife, Gina of East Parsonsfield, grandchildren, Jonathan Winslow and his fiance, Barbara Vieira of Kezar Falls, Caleb and Gabriella Winslow of East Parsonsfield, longtime friend, Essie Libby, niece, Joan Hobbs, nephew, David Fall.The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain View Nursing Home for the wonderful care provided to Mrs. Winslow as well as the Newton Center and Goodall Hospital.Visiting hours will be on Monday May 1st from 11am to 1pm at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale with a funeral service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Mountain View Activities Fund 164 Hansons Ridge Springvale, Maine 04083.Condolences may be expressed by using the tab to the left.
