Areta S. Ricker

Rita S. Ricker, 94, of Sanford and Springvale, passed away on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at the Pinnacle in Sanford. She was born in Lebanon, Maine on April 19, 1927 a daughter of the late Guy and Exilia (Genest) Blanchard. Rita was a wonderful mother who worked hard raising eight children. She was kind and sweet to everyone. She had the patience of an angel and will always be remembered for her constant smile and good nature. She will be missed by many. She is predeceased by her husband, Merle Ricker, two sons, James Ricker, David Jones, grandson, Todd Carlton. She is survived by her children, Leslie Ricker of Sanford, Linda Briggs and husband Alan of Shapleigh, Marilyn Bolduc of Springvale, Kathy Carlton and husband, John of Shapleigh, Gerry Ricker and wife, Mercedes of Mexico, Patty Weymouth and husband, Lewis of Shapleigh, and her only surviving sister, Clara Quint of TN. Beside her children her legacy continues with her 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The family would like to thank all the staff at Compassus Hospice and the Pinnacle for the care given to their mom Rita.
