Antonio J. Huppe

Antonio J. Huppe, 87, of Sanford, died July 24 at Goodall Hospital in Sanford.He was born in Somersworth, NH on January 3, 1919, the son of Adelard and Amanda (Plourde) Huppe and attended school there.He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II.He retired from Brooks Woolen Mills several years ago after many years of employment.He was a communicant of Holy Family Church.His family recalled that he was a family man who liked to be at home. He lived his life simply and quietly working hard to provide for his family.He is survived by his wife, Cecile (Roux) Huppe of Sanford, 2 sons, Roger Huppe and his wife Christine of Alfred, Richard Huppe and his wife Phyllis of Ft. Worth, TX, a sister, Antoinette Ferland of Dover, NH, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.An hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday beginning at 12 noon at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM in Holy Family Church.
