South Portland- Anne Marie Mulkern, 62, of Westbrook Street passed away suddenly, but peacefully, in her home on December 12, 2023.
Anne Marie was born in Portland, Maine on October 7, 1961 the daughter of the late Francis A. Sr. and Marguerite Joan (Hayes) Mulkern. She enjoyed spending her time with her friends and family. She had a kind heart and passion for living life to its fullest.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Tommy, Peter Mulkern and Phil Stisi; a niece, Teresa Joyce; a nephew, Kolin and Nanny’s puppy, Bonsey who is in heaven. She is survived by a daughter, Maryjane and her husband Scott Duquette; a son, Andrew and his wife, Annmarie Mulkern; grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Giovanni and David; two sisters, Joanne Mulkern and Teresa Stisi; three brothers, Frankie, Jackie and Jimi Mulkern; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery, Broadway, South Portland, ME. I have known Ann Marie all my life I always thought she was my cousin until we were 16. unfortunately, we didn’t hang around much in our older years. I moved away for 18 years, and we never hooked up when I moved back this way. It was in our younger years as children that we grew up together. She always had the most gentle soul and she was kind-hearted, I loved swinging and singing on the swings and swarming in the pool with her at the Pleasant Street playground. I do know she was happy in life with her beautiful family.
