Ann G. Minor

Ann G. Minor, 84, formerly of Newfield, died December 8 at the Newton Center in Sanford after a brief illness.She was born in Roslindale, MA on June 14, 1921, the daughter of Percy Elwood and Rose Louise (Glynn) Chellis. A longtime resident of Massachusetts and Florida, she retired from the US Civil Service in 1973 and settled in Newfield.She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church.She was predeceased by her parents and by two brothers, Elwood Clarence Chellis and James Edward Chellis.There are no near survivors.Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Newfield.Memorial contributions may be made to the Newfield Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 170, W. Newfield, ME 04095.
