Anita M. Houle

Anita M. Houle, 70, a longtime resident of Sanford, died January 29 at the Kennebunk Nursing and Rehab Center after a long illness.She was born in York on October 31, 1940, the daughter of Rene and Rollande (Poisson) Gagne.She was employed for many years with Brooks Woolen Mill in Sanford.Mrs. Houle was a communicant of Holy Family Church.She loved her cats and was a Red Sox and Patriots fan.Survivors include her daughter, Sue Cote and her husband Ronald of Sanford, her son Peter Houle of Old Orchard Beach, grandson Brandon Cote, grandson Jasson Cote his wife Abbie and their son Nathan, all of Sanford.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford. Burial will be in the spring in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Sanford.Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
