Anita C. Ferland

Anita C. (Lamontagne) Ferland, 68, of Sanford passed away on Friday October 28, 2005, held by her husband and surrounded by her family. She fought a courageous battle and was a very strong woman.She was born in Sanford on March 20, 1937 a daughter of Arthur and Alvida (Plamondon) Lamontagne.She married Norman Ferland on september 25, 1954 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sanford. Anita enjoyed spending time with her husband and her family. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and her family will continue to carry on her traditions in her memory.She is survived by her husband of 51 years Norman, her son, Bruce Ferland and his wife, Sue of Sanford, daughter, Denise and her husband, Roger Allaire of Shapleigh, daughter, Debra and her husband, James Stevens of Sanford, son, Brian Ferland of Acton, two sisters, Annette Curit and Patricia Whitten both of Sanford, one brother, Richard Lamontagne of Germany, eight granchildren, Sean Allaire and his wife Jessi, Todd Allaire, Autumn, Erin and Heather Nanartowich, Hunter Stevens, Sean Poulin and his wife Tara, Heather Stanley and her husband, Paul, two great grandchildren, Trevor and Chase Stanley.A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Friday November 4 at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatious Cemetery.The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society New England Division,1 Main Street, Suite 300 Topsham, Maine 04086.Condolences may be expressed at the tab at left.
