Alliette Anna Pineault, 90, of Sanford, passed away in Sanford on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Born in Sanford on April 11, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Cyrille and Marie-Anne (Dery) Martineau. A lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Parish, she attended St. Ignatius School graduating in 1937 with a commercial course. She married her husband, Paul on October 26, 1940 at St. Ignatius Church. For over 30 years she worked as a seamstress, starting at Alex Fortier's Taylor Shop, then establishing a business in her own home. After retirement she did a lot of knitting and crocheting, displaying her work at The Old Timers Shop. She loved music, playing the piano and mandolin. She also enjoyed reading and making crosswords puzzles. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Paul P. Pineault who passed away on April 8, 2001, two half sisters, Alza Maynard and Malvina Martin, a half brother, Arthur Martineau and one great grandson, Corey Ryan Lizotte.She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Hamilton and her husband, Arthur of Sanford, Mrs. Nancy Jennings of Port Clinton, Ohio, a step brother, Roland Jacques and his wife, Irene of Springvale, two step sisters, Theresa Field and Yolande Willey, six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Friday, November 19th from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11AM at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.
