Adelle R. Weeden

Adelle R. Weeden, 90, of Shapleigh, died at her home on December 16, 2013. Adelle was born on October 27, 1923 to Stanley and Euzibia Moswoski in Syracuse, New York where she grew up and attended local schools. In 1943 she married Rupert L. Weeden and together they raised three sons and shared 70 years of marriage. Adelle held several jobs during her lifetime but her primary focus was always taking care of her family.Adelle loved to read and to go shopping, particularly at Marden's where she could often be found hunting for a deal. She was also a car enthusiast. She and her husband had owned and driven many classic cars over the years. Adele was a devout Catholic and a very social woman who enjoyed spending time with others. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Adelle was predeceased by a son, Ronald Weeden.Surviving are her husband, Rupert Weeden of Shapleigh; two sons, Robert Weeden and his wife Beverly of Porter and Karl Weeden of Sanford; a daughter-in-law, Paulette Weeden of Limington; four grandchildren, Craig M. Weeden of Kittery, Lori Weeden of Biddeford, Justin Weeden of Porter and Trina Weeden of Sanford and three great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 23rd at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.
