Michael Hunter Brown

Michael Hunter Brown, 81, of Shapleigh, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1942, to David and Mary (Mastraccio) Brown. His career consisted of working as a marketing manager for Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group. He then went on to become Marketing Manager and President of Gerber-Alley, a medical software company in Los Angeles, CA. Michael retired to Kennebunkport and opened Hunter Editions, a photography gallery and fine art printing business. In 2001 he and his wife moved to Shapleigh where he spent time in his wood shop and was active in the New Hampshire Guild of Woodworkers, Period Furniture Group. He was proudest of his daughter Kathy and son Micheal as well as his 40-year marriage to his loving and devoted wife, Barbara. He is predeceased by his parents, and two brothers, Peter, and Stephen Brown. Survivors include his wife Barbara Brown of Shapleigh, his daughter Katherine Brown, son Michael Kershaw, both of CA, grandchildren Marley Hinkle and Hunter and Clayton Kershaw, his brother Thomas Brown and his beloved dog, Toby. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Newton Cemetery in Newton, MA.
