Joseph Diment, 81, of Sanford passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Joseph was born on February 5, 1940 to Gordon and Mary (Watkins) Diment in Boston. He graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in Concord, MA. He married Irene Smith on August 31st, 1963 and they were married for 58 years. His passion was drumming with Colonial groups in Concord, MA, Carlisle, MA, and York Maine. He is survived by his wife Irene Diment, two children, 6 grandchildren and three great grand children, on brother and two sisters. He will be truly missed by all of his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 28th at 11AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church in Sanford. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
