Elizabeth A. Blow

Elizabeth A. Blow, 60, of Alfred, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. She was born in Springfield, VT on September 15, 1950. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1968 and that same year on September 21st married Martin Blow in Perkinsville, VT.In 1969 they moved to Alfred. For 35 years she was employed by Sprague Electric in the Accounts Payable department. She enjoyed knitting and reading.She is predeceased by her mother, Frances (Harvey) DeRosie, her father in law, Albee Blow.She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Martin C. Blow of Alfred, her two sons, Charles A. Blow of Alfred and Phillip M. Blow of Waterboro, two granddaughters, Alison and Britney Blow of Biddeford, her father, Charles DeRosie of Alfred, brother, William DeRosie and his wife, Barbara of Springvale, daughter in law, Naomie Blow of Biddeford, two nephews, John DeRosie and his wife, Courtney of Springvale, William DeRosie and his wife, Melanie of Lyman, niece, Cheryl DeRosie of Mather, PA, her mother in law, Gladys C. Blow of Alfred, a very close special friend, Wendy Kellman of Alfred and Dr. Merrill Farrand a close family friend.The family would like to thank in a special way the doctors and staff at the Cancer Center in Sanford. They would also like to thank the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the excellent care given not only to Elizabeth but to her family and friends.Burial will be at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery in Alfred.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale.Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com
