Doris I. White

Doris Irene White passed away on May 2, 2020. She was born on February 15, 1935 to Lucien and Euclid Pouliot in Sanford, where she spent the rest ofher life. She met the man who would become her husband, Donald White, while working the soda counter at the Saul Shalit pharmacy. They had three children and were married until Donald's death in 2018.Doris loved to play hostess to friends and family during weekend afternoons around the backyard pool, serving up ice tea all around. However, Sunday dinners with all her children and grandchildren were her greatest pleasure, starting with happy hour at four o'clock on the dot. She loved babies and puppies and going out to eat, more specifically going out to eat at "The Bistro", where owner James always made her feel special. She was also an avid reader of non-fiction throughout her life. Doris is survived by her daughter Deborah Westcott and husband James of Naples, FL, her son Steven White and wife Patricia of Westbrook, ME, her daughter Judith Desrochers and husband Pierre of Kennebunk, ME,grandchildren Lindsey Rasulli, Ryan Westcott, Tyler White, Jacob White, Jonah Desrochers andSpencer Desrochers.Her four siblings, Jeanne Nolette, Anita Belanger, Shirley Martin and Richard Pouliot predeceased her. Special thanks to her brother in law Ralph Nolette for his unending dedication to Doris and her husband Donald.
