Robert E. Ford

Rev. Robert E. Ford, 82 years old, of Sanford, Maine died late Thursday evening, February 23, 2006 in Sanford, ME.Rev. Ford was born on February 16, 1924 in Jamestown, NY. He was the son of the late George and Mary (Ketchum) Ford. He was raised in upstate New York, and in 1946 began the Lords work by attending Cleveland Bible College, now known as Malone College in Canton, Ohio. He then attended Gordon College in Wenham, MA where he received his BA in 1954. The Reverend then continued his education by attending Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.In 1976 Rev. Ford founded the Faith Christian Center in Bedford, NH. He preached there until his retirement in 1986 as senior pastor. Rev. Ford always liked to help his fellow ministers by filling the void for them while they where away from their own churches.Rev. Ford loved the outdoors, especially the beach, where he often found inspiration for his Sunday Services. He enjoyed camping, reading, traveling, and the companionship of his friends and family.Predeceasing Rev. Ford was a daughter Ruth E. Schieding.Surviving is his wife of 34 years Doris (Quint) Ford of Sanford, ME; a daughter, Priscilla Petrofsky of Sturbridge, MA, a son Robert E. Ford Jr. of Enfield, NH; two step-daughters, Carol Ann Valencia of Lebanon, ME, Donna Jean McLarnon of Manchester, NH, and several grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Carol Greenwall of Gerry, NY, and a brother, Rev.
