Lisa Elaine Sweet

WINDHAM - Lisa Elaine Sweet, 44, of Windham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Hospice House of Auburn on October 11, 2011. Lisa was born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Michael and Elaine Napoleone. She attended Cathedral Grammar School and was a 1985 graduate of Portland High School. She had worked in the field of nursing since her graduation. She worked at several Portland area nursing care facilities and for the last fourteen years focused on the provision of adult home healthcare. Lisa married the love of her life, Steven Scott Sweet in Portland on September 24, 1993. She enjoyed spending time with family members. She was a devoted wife, mother and an especially supportive and loving "Nonna" as her grandchildren called her. She loved to shop, which for her was more a contact sport especially if there was a sale at the Coach outlet. She also enjoyed doing needlepoint, gifting many with her talent for this. Lisa was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Steven, of Windham; her daughter, Ashley Sweet and her daughter, Hayleigh Hanlon, whom she called "Hayleigh Who" , of Windham; her son, Anthony J. Sweet, and his wife, Torrey, and their son, Anthony J. Sweet, II, whom she called "Nonna's Superman", also of Windham; and a brother, Michael Napoleone, and his wife, Lisa, of Saco. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October, 14, from 4 - 8 pm at the Conroy Tully-Crawford, South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A funeral will be held on Saturday, October 15, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
