A More Welcoming Entrance: Building for Accessibility and Inclusion

At Black-Heald Walker Funeral Home, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, dignified care to every family we serve. As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, we are pleased to share that we are currently renovating our main entrance to better serve our community.

“Our goal has always been to create a space where every person feels welcome, supported, and respected. This renovations reflect our deep commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, and we’re proud to take this step forward for the families we serve.” – Adam Walker, Owner and Funeral Director

The new entrance is being thoughtfully designed to meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)  compliance standards, ensuring that individuals with mobility challenges, seniors, those with strollers, and others can easily access our facility.

We believe a funeral home should be a place of comfort and connection for everyone, regardless of physical ability. These improvements are part of our continued efforts to create an environment where all guests feel welcome, respected, and supported.

During this renovation period, we ask all visitors to please use our side entrance, located on the right side of the facility. Signage has been posted, and our staff will be available to assist as needed. We are committed to making sure that services continue with the same level of care and professionalism you expect.
