Stephen James Loubier, 75, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 11th, at his home with his family by his side, after a 9-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Steve was born on January 25, 1947, to Harold and Fern Loubier in Portland, Maine. South Portland, Maine is where he would spend the first 42 years of his life. He is a graduate of South Portland High School class 1965 where he was a versatile athlete lettering in baseball, basketball, and football. After graduation, Steve would start his professional career delivering milk. It was at this time that he met and fell in love with his wife of 52 years, Mary Elizabeth Buck. Mary and Steve would go on to have three children, Mark, Scott, and Craig. Steve was a devoted father, husband, and mentor. Steve loved attending his boys sporting events and was never shy in letting them know how they did, good or bad! For many years if you were looking for Steve on the weekends, you would find him at Willowdale Golf Course with friends. In 1989, Steve decided to take a promotion with his employer, Unifirst Corporation, and took the family on a new adventure to Boca Raton, Florida. Steve was a hardworking and dedicated employee. He would retire from Unifirst in 2005 where he worked for over 30 years.
