Palm Harbor, Florida -Sandra A. Donnelly, 73, formerly of Windham, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at a Clearwater healthcare facility. She was born November 28, 1941, a daughter of Harold and Anne (Davis) Haslam. She was also raised by Donald W. Davis. She graduated from Deering High School, class of 1959, and continued her education at the University of Southern Maine. She retired from the Portland Press Herald after 17 years of employment. She married Robert J. Donnelly on August 27, 1988, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. To her husband Bob, she was his soul mate and his world. To her six children, she was a rock; and to many of her childrens friends, she was a second mother who could be counted on for amazing words of wisdom or advice. She was a hugger and if you were hugged by Sandra, you knew it was with love. She was a strong woman who will be impossible to replace, she will be loved and missed forever. She is predeceased by a brother, Gordon P. Haslam and a grandson, Joshua K. Libby. Sandra is survived by her husband Robert J. Donnelly of Palm Harbor, Florida; two daughters, Anne L. Thoits Libby of Palm Harbor Florida and Pamela D. Moreau and Marc Labonte of Westbrook; four sons, David S. Thoits and Debi Hunter Thoits of Auburn, Shawn D. Thoits and Keri Fitzgerald of Windham, Paul S. Thoits and Melissa of Portland, and Ryan H. Thoits and Beth of Windham; seven sisters in law, Ann Cobb and John of Gray, Kathleen Record and Dick of Portland, Jane Rogan and Jim of Westbrook, Lorraine Rava and Jean of Malden, Massachusetts, Francine Bowden and Bill of Poland, Peggy Johnston and Chet of Sheron, Massachusetts, and Dianne Doyle and John of Falmouth; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held 3:00 6:00 pm, Monday, at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Prayers will be recited 9:15 am, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 Congress Street, Portland.
