South Portland - Sally Ann Foss, 79, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Sedgewood Commons. Sally was born on June 20, 1941 in Lubec, the daughter of the late Dallas E. and Mary (Minzy) Farmer. She grew up in Lubec with her four sisters. In 1963 she moved to South Portland where she began raising her family. She worked at multiple retail stores including Kmart, Home Quarters, and the Christmas Tree Shop. She retired from the Christmas Tree Shop after 15 years. She was a devoted and hardworking mother. She was strong-willed and determined and did a wonderful job raising her four children. In her free time she enjoyed tending to her garden and knitting. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years in 2016, Malcolm Foss. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Foss of South Portland; three sons, Gregory Foss and his wife Susan of Danbury, CT, Dallas Foss and his wife Kelly of Riverview, FL, Jeff Foss and his wife Michelle of Bowden; four sisters, Diane Tinker of Lubec, Jean Quimby and her husband Daniel of Bucks Harbor, Kathy Gray and her husband Perley of Machias, Nanette Dowling and her husband Clayton of Lubec; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend of over 55 years, Annette Mason of Buxton. Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-6:00PM on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the chapel. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland. To follow the state guidelines, capacity will be monitored and face coverings are required. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/ConroyTullyWalker starting at 11AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
