Sally A. Clark

Mrs. Sally A. Clark, 76, of Windham, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Springbrook Center in Westbrook. Born on December 30, 1938 in Portland, Sally was the daughter of the late Owen and Kathleen (Robinson) McCarthy. She was raised in Portland and graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1956. That same year, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Clark, on June 14, 1956. Together, they shared nearly 52 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2008. During her life, Sallys main priority was being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked a number of jobs while her children were growing up. Sally was an avid bingo and card player, and had a strong love of animals. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of wit and her ability to always find the positive amidst trying situations. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her beloved son, David Clark; adored grandson, Benjamin Clark; and brother, Robert McCarthy. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Clark and her fianc Chris Capozzo of Windham; daughter-in-law, Tina Clark Pratt of Minot; son, Keith Clark of Raymond. Also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Clark, Robert Pratt, Kristina Clark, and Stephen Clark; great-grandchildren, Abigal Hanson and Beau Mergist. Several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Springbrook Center for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Sally. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4PM at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Her funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 10AM. I will miss my good friend of 64 years. Sally was a “fiesty” Irishman and proud of it. She didn’t always feel that great, these last few years, but didn’t let that stop her from having good times. She was loved by all who knew her.

Will miss my dear friend Of sixty four years. She was a “feisty” Irishman (and proud of it). SAlly lived her life on her terms even though she didn’t always feel that well. She was one of a kind!!!!
