PORTLAND – Robert Jordan, lovingly known as “Bobby” or “Bupa,” passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 66.

A lifelong resident of Portland, Maine, Bobby grew up on Frances Street and remained deeply connected to his hometown throughout his life. A proud graduate of Portland High School, Class of 1976, Bobby was an exceptional swimmer, earning the title of state champion and coming remarkably close to competing in the Olympics. His competitive spirit and dedication to excellence were qualities that carried through all aspects of his life. Bobby made his mark on Portland’s waterfront as a commercial fisherman and fish cutter, gaining a reputation as one of the fastest and most skilled fish cutters around. He found joy in golfing and being near the ocean, always appreciating the beauty and tranquility of the water.
