  1. I was Dick’s insurance agent for many years. I enjoyed every time he came in to see me. As it turned out my mom was his neighbor on Bonny Eagle Pond. My condolences to his family.

  2. Dick and Peggy lived across the street from us on Hanna Brook Drive in Windham. Her death just as she retired was extra sad for us all. Of course we enjoyed times at the lake and I visited Dick at Park Danforth, where he was making a good adjustment.

An example of his always being ready to help and an expression of his love was when we were packing up to move to a condo. My husband was unable to do much and I was frankly worried. Then came Dick offering to spend a day helping me pack. I cried from relief and gratitude. You daughters were so very important to him and greatly loved. Savor your memories and give forward as Dick always did.

  3. Sending condolences & prayers from the Thompson/Bourn family. We so enjoyed him at the camp! He always was up for a game and loved to tell his latest jokes to make others laugh! He will be greatly missed.

  4. Julie, Laurie and Deb- so very sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. He was such an integral part of our Bonny Eagle times and always kept us laughing.
Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
May he try to rest in peace, however I am sure he will be cleaning or tidying something up…..

  5. Mr. Dick Farr always had a hilarious quip to keep us all in stitches. We will always treasure the visits on the patio, card games, and laughter at Bonny Eagle Pond. Love to Julie, Laurie, and Deb. Toodles Poodles. Kristine Thompson Bisson and family.

  6. Uncle Dick was a very wonderful man. I spent many wonderful times with him, Aunt Peggy, and the girls either at their house, camping with both our families, out on an adventure somewhere, or at their camp. Precious memories that I treasure. My deepest condolences to Julie, Laurie, and Debbie, and the rest of his family.

  7. My deepest condolences Julie, Greg, and all the family. Julie and I were roommates at UNH. We didn’t know each other before that happened, but Dick and my sister, Karen, did! Small world! They both worked together at Maine Med in the blood bank. I’m sure they both had funny stories to share about Julie and I!
I do remember going to the Farr residence with Julie one day as I was interviewing in Scarborough for an internship. I put my white, leather-like purse down and when I came back, Dick had cleaned the outside of it for me. 33 years later, I still remember that!
May all the fun and family memories stay close at heart with you as you mourn Dick’s passing. This chapter has closed, and he has a new everlasting chapter in heaven, joining his beautiful wife. Peace and Love, Maria

  8. Will never forget the wonderful times at Bonney Eagle. Dick always made us laugh.
Aunt Charlotte loved to see him come to visit. All the grandkids had a memorable time with Dick. We will miss him so every summer. Rita & family

  9. Dick was great with children. One year I was visiting on a 4th of July. The fireworks started, my son was afraid. Dick took him inside his home and made him feel safe. I will always remember that and appreciate his kindness ❤️
