Michael P. Keating

South Portland- Michael Patrick Keating, 44, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on November 10, 2014. Michael was born July 25, 1970, in Portland, one of five children to John H. and Joy M. (Tapley) Keating. Michael attended local schools and graduated from South Portland High School in the class of 1989. Michael was self employed in the drywall business. His biggest passion in life was playing pool. He was on many local teams. He became very skilled and was most proud of earning his way to two Las Vegas tournaments. He is predeceased by his father, John H. Keating. He is survived by his mother Joy Keating of South Portland; a brother Shawn and his wife Julie Keating of South Portland; three sisters, Karen and her husband Ronald Emery of Athens, Kelly and her husband Scott Parker of South Portland and Jeannie Keating also of South Portland; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. A Celebration of Michaels Life will be held at noon, Friday, November 14, 2014, at the Griffin Club, 60 Ocean St., South Portland.
