Westbrook, ME Mary Agnes Miller, 91, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the Springbrook Center. Mary was born on January 14, 1925, in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Danko) Kmetz. She grew up in Johnstown and graduated from Johnstown High School, Class of 1943. She married Jacques Miller on September 14, 1947, in Gettysburg, PA. Mary was a devout Catholic and a longtime communicant of St. Josephs Church in Bellwood, PA. She volunteered for the March of Dimes and at Birthright. She loved her family and friends, as well as her cocker spaniels, Sniffy, Molly, Barney Miller and especially Mac. In her free time she loved reading, traveling, playing bridge, and enjoyed board games and golf with her husband, Jack. Summer family trips to the Jersey Shore with the Fries Family were especially enjoyable to her. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jacques Miller in 2004; sisters, Hildegarde Bodner and Ann Kmetz; and brothers, Andrew and John Kmetz. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela LeGrow and her husband Allan of Orrs Island, ME; son, Jacques Miller, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Gorham, ME; grandchildren, Matthew LeGrow of Brighton, MA, Jonathan LeGrow of Orrs Island, Elizabeth Williamson and her husband James of Chesterfield, VA, Brooke Miller Fitts and her husband Brian of Astoria, NY, Blair Miller Weaver and her husband Derek of Cumberland, ME; and great grandchildren, Lorelai and Jason Williamson and Marlo Weaver. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Springbrook Center and Beacon Hospice in Maine for their compassionate care of Mary. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 29, from 9:00-10:00AM at the Stevens Mortuary, 1421 8th Avenue in Altoona, PA, followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 623 E 3rd St, Bellwood, PA. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Altoona. Conroy-Tully Walker South Portland Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
