John was quick with a hello and a smile when we ran into each other at Quality Shop. I always called him Uncle John because that’s how Megan introduced us, back when she was still in high school. Rest In Peace Uncle John.

My sincerest condolences to John’s family, especially Jim and Joe and special thoughts to Ellen as well. John was truly the friend of a lifetime. His gentle soul and friendship will be sorely missed. I have great memories, whether it was playing football in high school or my introduction to Munjoy Hill, or being in each other’s weddings. John had unconditional love and acceptance for everyone he ever met. I am a much better man for having known John and will miss him.
