Audrey P McLean

Portland- Audrey P. McLean, 86, of Broadway, died peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at St. Joseph's Nursing Center following a long illness. Audrey was born in Portland, Maine on October 6, 1931 the daughter of the late Robert and Etta Patterson. She attended local schools and graduated from Portland High School. Audrey spent her entire career working as a sales clerk in department stores all over Portland, including Kings Department Store, Giants Department Store and CVS just to name a few. Her love of being around people and the fact that nothing ever upset her made her work in retail a perfect fit. When not working, Audrey enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved camping, going on long walks, berry picking and was an excellent cook. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Harold McLean in 2001; a daughter, Susan Greenlay; and a brother Robert Patterson. She is survived by two sons, Greg McLean of Gorham and Ronald McLean of Augusta; a brother Richard Patterson of Buxton; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Stevens Ave, Portland.
