PORTLAND - Ann C. Warren, 92, of Massachusetts Avenue, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Gosnell Hospice House with her loving family by her side. She was born in Portland Maine on June 14, 1919 the daughter of Chester R. and Alice Libby Clement. At the age of nine Ann moved with her family to New York City for her father's work, she continued to live there until the age of sixteen when they returned to Maine after her father's death. On June 18, 1949 she married Ralph Earl Warren at the State Street Congregational Church in Portland. Together they made their home and raised their family in Portland. Ann worked for Maine Egg Producers in Scarborough for twenty three years. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, belonging to several leagues. She loved traveling the country with her sister and nieces and nephews. She was also a big Elvis Presley fan. She was very family oriented and looked forward to her weekly visit with her nephew Elmer "Skip" Rench. She enjoyed spending many hours with her grandson, watching him grow up. Ann was predeceased by her husband in October of 1983, a sister Lucy Rench, nephews Francis, Billy and Freddie Rench, a niece Marie Harrington and a great niece Marylou Greene. She is survived by a son Bruce and his wife Diane Warren of Portland, who for many years, were her caregivers at their home, a grandson Daniel Warren of Portland along with several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Friday, August 5, 2011 at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway. A 9:00 a.m. Saturday funeral service will be held at the South Portland Chapel. Rev. Philip Shearman will officiate. Burial will follow in Brown Hill Cemetery in South Portland.
