Yvonne L. Croteau

Yvonne L. Croteau, 104, of Sanford, passed away on Friday March 31, 2006 at the Newton Center in Sanford. She was born in Victoriaville, P.Q., Canada, on September 11, 1901, a daughter of Joseph and Delvina (Lecours) Langlais.She attended schools in Canada and moved to Sanford in 1923. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where she had been a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Anne. She had been employed by the former Sanford Goodall Mills and the Rochester Shoe Company She enjoyed vegetable gardening. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Croteau who died in 1962, one brother, Emile Langlais, sisters, Helen Spenard and Rosa St. Pierre.She is survived by one daughter, Aline R. Croteau of Sanford, one sister, Alma Joly of Norwich, CT.Visiting hours will be on Sunday April 2 from 2-4pm at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, in Sanford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 1pm at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
