William W. McGlincey
William W. McGlincey, 51, of Acton died on Thursday, March 4, 2010 after a four year battle with cancer.William was born in Sanford on February 6, 1959 to William and Wilma (Horne) McGlincey. He grew up in West Newfield and attended Massabesic High School. In 1978 he married Wendy Coolbroth and together the couple raised three children. William worked as a self-employed logger in Southern Maine and New Hampshire. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed watching wildlife, hunting, being outdoors and working out in his yard. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking his grandchildren fishing. He also liked working on cars and was a NASCAR fan. William had a great sense of humor and a love of life. Throughout his illness he never complained and was always more concerned about the well being of his family. He will be remembered for the strength and bravery with which he faced his illness and as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.Surviving are his wife, Wendy McGlincey of Acton; a daughter, Nichole Dionne and her husband Joe of Milton, NH; two sons, William A. McGlincey and his wife Paula of Waterboro and Justin McGlincey of Acton; his father, William F. McGlincey of West Newfield; his mother and step-father Wilma Goldsmith and her husband Lee of Acton; a sister, Deborah Littlefield and her husband Westley of Springvale; a brother Brian S. McGlincey and his wife Dana of Acton; his mother-in-law Norma Coolbroth of West Newfield and seven grandchildren, Joey, Michael, Jacob, Zachary, Alisha, Andrew and Vanessa.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 9th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Acton Fire and Rescue, P.O.
