Wilfred Goulet
Wilfred E. Goulet, 88, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday May 1, 2007 at the Newton Center in Sanford. He was born in Sanford, on February 1, 1919, a son of Joseph and Rose (Ouellette) Goulet.He attended Holy Family School. On October 19, 1940 he married the former Lillian Letourneau at St. Ignatius Catholic Church where they have both remained lifelong communicants. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII in the Patten 94th Infantry. He retired from the Naval Shipyard after 17 years of service. During his spare time he enjoyed golfing and had been a member of the Sanford VFW.He is predeceased by one son, Thomas W. Goulet who passed away in 2005. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lillian E. Letourneau of Sanford, one daughter, Elaine B. Bickford of Sanford, one brother, Leo Paul Goulet of Sanford, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 7, at 11am at St. Therse of Lisieux- St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sanford with burial following at St. Ignatius Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.To leave the family a message of condolence please use the "condolences" tab to the left.
