Wendell J. Clough, 90, of Waterboro, died on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. Wendell was born in Lyman on August 25, 1925 to Harland and Eunice (Roberts) Clough.He is predeceased by his twin brother, Warren Clough, and his older brother, Robert Clough. He grew up in East Waterboro where he attended local schools, graduating from Waterboro High School in 1943. Following high school, Wendell served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After his military service he graduated from Boston Technical College earning a degree in electronics. Wendell worked as an Advertising Specialist for 37 years at General Electric in Somersworth, NH.Most importantly, Wendell proclaimed Jesus Christ as Lord. He lived his life as witness of the great love of Christ and accepted our heavenly Father's gift of salvation. This is not the end for Wendell.... It is merely the beginning.Wendell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hilda J. Clough; two daughters and their husbands, Wendy C. and Richard C. Huntress of Waterboro, Maine, and Vicki L. and Paul T. Young of Muizenberg, South Africa; three granddaughters, Kara A. Huntress of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Ariel E. Huntress of Waterboro, Maine, and Evangel L. Young of Muizenberg, South Africa; and two grandsons, Timothy P. Young of Muizenberg, South Africa and Joshua J. Young of Muizenberg, South Africa. His youngest grandchild, Cherish Faith Young (2 years, 10 months), is now with Grandpa in heaven.Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11th at the Free Baptist Church of East Waterboro, located at 213 Main St. in East Waterboro, Maine 04030. There will be a private family interment at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.   1. I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Clough. I didn’t realize Black funeral home had obits and happened to be looking at the year 2015 for my mom’s page as she’d passed in 2015 as well, and saw that he’d passed.
