Wayne R. Erwin passed away, unexpectedly, into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 6, 2022. He was born May 7, 1957 in Rockland, MA, son of Thomas and Barbara Erwin.
Wayne had a quick wit and a wonderful, dry sense of humor, notorious for quietly quipping hilarious one liners! With his laid back, steady nature, Wayne characterized dependability and had an excellent work ethic. He worked for Phillips Medical Systems as a Project Manager for 39 years, spending many long hours driving to hospital job sites all over his Northeastern territory. Throughout his career, he distinguished himself in his job performance, receiving several awards for quality work and outstanding customer service. Wayne served in the Air Force from 1981-1985, stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Rising to the rank of Sargent, he was named both Airman of the Year and Maintenance Professional of the Year in 1984 for his noteworthy work repairing F-15 and F-16 Jet Fighters.
The great outdoors beckoned Wayne from his youth, and he loved spending time at his family’s camp in Naples, Maine. He loved birding, canoeing on Maine lakes, camping with his family, and exploring state and National Parks. Wayne enjoyed collecting coins and was an avid reader with an extensive library. He was a serious student of the Bible. Wayne was passionate about history and was so well read, he could have been a history professor on that qualification alone.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rosemarie Erwin, daughters Naomi Chaisty (husband, David and son ,Oliver), Rebekah Erwin , and Deborah Erwin; mother Barbara Erwin, brother Robert Erwin, and sister Nancy Brown ( husband Alan) and their sons, Daniel Brown and Timothy Brown (wife, Emily). Wayne was predeceased by his father, Thomas Erwin.

Wayne leaves three beautiful daughters who are kind, loving, caring and compassionate. He and Rose did a wonderful job raising them to love the Lord and love others.
I will miss Wayne very much, he has a special place in my heart. He used to tease me all the time. I was the kid sister-in-law so he enjoyed that.
Wayne loved to read and learn everything he could about the Bible and God. He loved to study God’s word on his own and with others.
