Victor H. Mee

Victor H. Mee Jr., 70, of Acton, passed away on Wednesday February 15 at the H. D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Acton on July 19, 1935 a son of Victor H. Sr., and Louise I. (Pillsbury) Mee. He attended Acton schools and graduated from Sanford High School in 1954.He entered the Air Force in 1954 retiring in 1974 as SMSGT. He served as selectman of Acton for several years. He also worked as Tax Assessor for the town of Standish. He also worked at G.K. Construction in Acton. He was an Elder of the Liberty Chapel Congregational Church in Milton Mills.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlotte F. (Ayer) Mee of Acton, one son, Douglas and his wife, Carol and their four children, Benjamin, Joshua, Sarah and Jacob, brothers, Robert Mee, Chester Mee and his wife, Brenda, Richard Mee and his wife, Elaine, Perry Mee and his wife, Cindy, Mervin Mee, sisters, Marcia Mills and her husband, Dale, Evangeline LaBrecque and her husband, Bernard, Pearl Wallace and her husband Richard, Everline Cookson and her husband Steve, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday February 18, 10am until the time of services 11am at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street in Springvale.
