Victor M. Arias
Victor Manual Arias, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. He was born in Manhattan, NY, on July 31, 1956. He was a longtime resident of North Waterboro. Victor attended St. Michael's and Thomas Edison Schools in New York. Along with his twin brother, Jose (Joe) they competed in local tennis competitions and were both considered potential professionals.While Joe continued in the tennis field, Victor's journey took a different course and he entered military service shortly after graduating high school. Victor retired and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force on September 1, 1994. He served in both the tactical and strategic air commands and was deployed in Operation Desert Storm. Victor was profoundly dedicated to his service to our country and was decorated 17 times. He also received numerous commendations and promotions.On September 18, 1977 the Rev. Owen Shelley married Victor and his wife, Maureen Anne (Coveney) Arias.Victor loved working out, playing video games, walking, fixing jet engines and testing them and spending time with his granddaughter.He is predeceased by his father, Jose Manual Arias.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maureen, his son Enrique Arias and his wife, Megan and their daughter Isabella, Bella of Acton, Maine, his mother, Asteria Babin, his sister, Diane Garcia of Arizona, sister, Yolanda Posada of Miami, FL, his twin brother, Jose Manual Arias Jr., of Smithtown, NY.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 1PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine. Visiting hours for family and friends will begin at 11AM until the time of the service.
