Thomas Michael Harriman, 59, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the H.D. Goodall Hospital. Thomas was born in York on July 18, 1951, a son of Kenneth and Iva Harriman. He served proudly for four years in the US Navy.On February 25, 1972 he married the former Pauline Doiron. He was employed by Hussey Seating for 38 remarkable years.Thomas was a great husband, father and pepere. He was a man of integrity, humorous and good character. He was witty, a hard worker and always could make someone laugh. He was a positive, graceful man. He suffered with Ankylosing Spodylitis- a spinal disease, which he never complained about and never gave up. He slept in a sitting position with his feet always ready to go.Tom enjoyed his four wheeling trips on Otis Allen Road, his favorite spot and location. In the eyes of the beholder he was a real hero. He always thought of his family, never of his infliction. He always looked on the bright side of things. On the way to the hospital he once said to his wife, "There is our song-You and me are Stuck Like Glue." No matter what obstacles we had, he took them head on. Tom will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend, his daughter, his three beautiful grandsons and his son in law. He will also be missed by his extended family, friends and co-workers that have kept in touch with him the last two years. We love you Tom, you were a great teacher to all who knew you.Tom is predeceased by his mother, Iva.He will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Pauline Harriman of Sanford; his daughter, known as Daddy's one and only little girl, Shannon L'Heureux and her husband, Wally; his father, Kenneth Harriman of Berwick; grandsons, Noah, Wyatt and Clayton Thomas L'Heureux; his brothers, Dave Harriman and his wife, Connie of Lebanon, Kenneth Harriman and his wife, Jayne of Saco, Steve Harriman and his wife Rainey of Biddeford, his sister in law and brother in law, Ivan Furbish and Paula, as well as several nieces and nephews.Visiting hours for Tom will be on Wednesday, January 5 from 6 to 8PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford.
