Thomas R. Bergeron

SANFORD Thomas Richard Bergeron age 30 died Sunday at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Portland January 12, 1976 the son of Richard T. & Marie P. (Bernard) Bergeron. Tom was educated at St. Thomas school and was a graduate of Sanford High School with the class of 1994. He also attended the University of Hartford (CT) , Ball State University in Indiana and received his certificate in Pedorthic Services from Northwestern University of Chicago. Following his return to Sanford, Tom was employed at Bergeron's Shoes and Pedorthic Services for eleven years.A life long resident of Sanford, Tom loved and enjoyed his family as well as his many friends. He had a special love for his pets. He was fond of the Red Sox, and was an avid hockey and football fan. Tom is survived by his Mom & Dad of Sanford, his maternal grandfather, Joseph Bernard of Pompano Beach, FL, his three sisters, Denise Christiansen and her husband Scott of St. Albans, VT, Celine Patton and her husband Kenneth of Weddington, NC, and Yvonne Prudente and her husband Joseph of Glastonbury, CT. His nieces and nephews, Erin Christiansen, Matthew, Elizabeth & Nicholas Bertrand and Luke Patton, Corinne & Mark Prudente. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 :00 AM Saturday in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will be in the spring.
