Tom Pinette, 57, of Sanford, Maine, passed away on July 10, 2025. Born on May 28, 1968, in Connecticut, Tom moved to Maine as a teenager and made Sanford his home. He lived a life filled with stories, laughter, and love.
A proud Mainer, Tom was an avid trail rider with a remarkable ability to navigate the rugged trail systems that spanned from Northern Maine to Northern New Hampshire. He spent many years in the trades as a skilled Sheetrock installer and was respected for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic.
Tom had a one-of-a-kind personality that could light up any room. He was a gifted storyteller and loved to have a good time, usually on the back wheel of a dirt bike or 4-wheeler. With a sly smile and perfectly timed jokes, he knew how to lift spirits and remind others that things could always be worse. His authenticity and quick wit were matched only by his deep love
for his family.
He is survived by his beloved son, Thomas Pinette, and his cherished granddaughter, Clarina Marie, who brought immense joy to his life. Tom is also survived by his five siblings: John Pinette and wife, Victoria, of Rochester, NH, and son, “Lil John,” his wife, Randi of Shapleigh ME, and their children Kinleigh, Zander, and Lydia; Tammie and her husband, Gary Ireland, with their children Jessica, Cole, Sean, and Raven of Thomaston, CT; Scott Pinette and wife, Sandy, of Sanford, ME, and their children, Scotty and Sarah; Jeffery Pinette of Sanford, ME, along with his fiancée, Sabrina Britch, and her daughter, Ally (affectionately known as AlleyKat); as well as his youngest brother, Lenny Pinette of Sanford, ME. He also leaves behind several cousins and close friends. Tom was predeceased by both parents, Clarence Pinette of Fort Kent, ME, and Clairina Lang Pinette of Claire, New Brunswick, Canada.
Tom’s presence, humor, and generous heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Beginnings Christian Church August 23rd at 3pm located at 181 Grammar Road, Sanford, Maine 04073.
