Theresa F. Soucy

Scarborough- Theresa F. Soucy, 87, of Reef Lane, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Stockholm, Maine on July 1, 1927 the daughter of Alfred and Lucy Michaud Lausier. She graduated from Madawaska High School in the class of 1945. Starting her work career with Maine Potato Growers, Theresa transitioned into the banking business working as a loan officer, a career which she practiced for more than twenty five years, retiring in 2000. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and was an avid Bridge player her entire life. She was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church where she was very active in church activities including serving as Eucharistic Minister. Her greatest love was the time she spent surrounded by her family and friends. Theresa was predeceased by a son, Gerald P. Soucy; a sister, Claire Cullen, and a brother, Robert Lausier. She is survived by a son Robert and his wife Debra Soucy of Standish; two daughters Alice Huffman of Windham and Muriel Soucy of Scarborough; three sisters Alice Lausier of MD, Martha and her husband Donald Ellis of CO and Virginia Lausier of Madawaska; one brother Paul and his wife Dorothy Lausier of NH; three grandchildren Jeffrey and his wife Sheri Soucy of MA, Emily and her husband Brett Mougalian of Gorham and Maria Merserve and her husband, Matt of TX, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to greet the family at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 150 Black Point Road in Scarborough on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Arrangements are under the direction of Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.
