Theresa E. Couture

Theresa E. Couture, 78, of Springvale, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 25, 2019. She was born in East Lebanon on April 5, 1941 a daughter of the late John Baptiste and Alice (Blanchette) Dion. She attended St. Joseph High School in Biddeford.She attended Beauty School and then owned and operated Terry's Magic Mirror Beauty Salon in Biddeford. On September 2, 1963 she married Armand Couture and they made their home in Springvale where they owned and operated Couture's Sporting Goods. A longtime member of St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, she was involved volunteering her time at church fairs and working at the soup kitchen. In years past, she sang in the Notre Dame Church choir.She enjoyed walking and going to breakfast with her friends. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family. At Christmas she would make memory calendars for her children. She also enjoyed her time with her grandchildren especially in the summers when they would come over to swim in the pool.She is predeceased by her siblings, Jeannette Guillemette, Maurice Dion, Rev. Roland Dion, Cecile Manning, Jean Dion, Pauline Bourque, Donald Dion, Maryanne Edrington, Lucille LaFlamme.She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Armand Couture of Springvale, children, Celine Couture and her fiance, Troy Graffam, Michelle Wilson and her husband, Raymond, Richard Couture and his wife Catherine (Haibon) Couture, Denis Couture and his wife, Natalie (Milliken) Couture, grandchildren, Nicholas Couture, David Alexandre, Melissa Wilson, Kayla (Wilson) Jett and her husband, Jeff, DO, Crysta Wilson, Miranda Wilson,Hanah Couture, Fallyn Couture, Brenna Couture, Adriana Milliken, Jasmine Couture, Elizabeth Couture, one great grandchild, Riley Jett, brother, Albert Dion, sister Rita Legere.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 31st at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale.
