Tanya Lee Shaw

Tanya Lee Shaw, 51, of Sanford, died on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.Tanya was born on June 7, 1967 in Trenton, Maine where she grew up and attended local schools. When she was younger she worked as a chamber maid in the hotel industry before becoming disabled. She was a very loving, devoted mother and raised five children. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren and sharing a cup of coffee with family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Tanya was predeceased by two grandchildren.Surviving are five children, Shayla Kearns of Florida, Alyssa Tripp of Sanford, Joseph Murphy of Sanford, Jessica Murphy of Sanford and Jacob Shaw of Sanford; her mother, Brenda Murphy of Sanford and her father, Gary Murphy and his wife Carol of Rhode Island and 11 grandchildren.A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 17th at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home located at 580 Main Street in Springvale.Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider assisting the family with a memorial contribution at www.fundthefuneral.com/tanya-lee-shaw.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.To leave a message of condolence for the family please click on the condolences tab to the left.
