Steven Searles

Steven E. Searles, 54, of Waterboro, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, on December 21, 1956, a son of the late Raymond O. and Arline N. (Gaudreault) Searles. A lifelong resident of Waterboro, he graduated from Massabesic High School in 1974.Since the early 1980s Steven was self employed in the construction industry. Prior to this he had worked several years in the telecommunication/cable industry doing building and removal of towers, installation of microwave communication equipment and antennas.He was a member of the Waterboro Eagles. He loved sports. His sisters described him as family orientated, spending quality time with family, rarely missing family events.Steven is survived by one daughter, Haley Searles of North Waterboro, stepson, Cody Libby of North Waterboro, sisters, Donna Mayo of Waterboro, Brenda Desrochers of Sanford, Viola Frenette of Buxton and Patti Payeur of North Waterboro, 11 nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale. A funeral service will take place on Friday at the funeral home at 10AM.
