Stephen E. Gowen

Stephen E. Gowen, 56, of Sanford, Maine since 1995, passed away following a brief illness on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Gosnell House in Scarborough, Maine. He was born in Brighton, MA on April 22, 1952, a son of the late Earl and Madeline (Roma) Gowen.Stephen worked for many years at Raytheon Company in Waltham, MA before returning to Sanford in 1995. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the NFL, the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.He is survived by a brother, Barry Gowen; a sister, Donna Fitzpatrick; two nephews and a niece.A Graveside Service for Stephen will take place on Monday, December 8th at 1pm at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford, Maine.Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.
