Stephen R. DeCourt

Stephen R. DeCourt, 54, of Sanford, passed unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Sanford.He was born on June 27, 1965, the son of Ronald and Corinne (Gervais) DeCourt in Rochester, NH.Steve attended and graduated from Noble High School.He was employed at Prime Tanning, and Spencer Press, where he worked for 20 years until his health prevented him from doing so.Family was the number one priority and joy in Steve's life. He was so incredibly proud of his children. Steve enjoyed spending time with them and was especially happy having cookouts, relaxing and enjoying a beer. He also loved motorcycles, and when asked what his occupation was, his family replied, "He was a Pressman/Biker". Steve was also a New England Patriots Fan and liked gaming with his son Justin.He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.Steve was predeceased by his Memere and Pepere Gervais, his Nanny and Grampy DeCourt, and two aunts, Mary DeCourt, and Rose Bragdon.Survivors include his parents, his wife Carol DeCourt of Sanford, his children, Shawna Drouin and her husband Jason of Limerick, Meaghan DeCourt and her partner Adam Gokey of Sanford, Justin DeCourt and his wife Ashley of Springvale, Amber DeCourt and her partner Mike Levesque, of Sanford, Justin Jollota and his wife Patty of Texas, Carin Romero and her husband Marvin of Sanford, Christopher Desruisseux and his partner Skye Parslow of Sanford, his sister Stephanie Sikoski and her husband John of Rochester, 15 grandchildren, his God parents Rodney and Tina Gervais, of Florida and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Stephens life will be held on Saturday, July 6, from 12 at the VFW, 1 Hutchinson St., Sanford. It will be potluck style, please bring something to share.Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
